The Simpson Strong-Tie RCKW3D rigid connector by Simpson Strong-Tie has been developed to resist overturning moment at the base of exterior kneewalls and parapets as well as interior partial-height walls or overhead ribbon window conditions. This connector has two large holes for anchorage. It provides an option for more capacity in 3-5/8″ framed kneewalls. If the load requires more capacity, the RCKW3DS stiffener can be added. The stiffer nests onto the clip. The screw holes and anchor holes in the stiffener line up with those in the RCKW3D clip, making the fastener and anchor installation a snap. The clip and stiffener are sold separately.
